Draft nine traits from Washington to the present, name your president, pick a (fictional) party colour and survive up to two terms of approval swings, crises and re-election night.

About LeaderLab
LeaderLab is a free browser game built around one idea: spin a reel of real historical leaders, draft them into the trait slots of your own original leader, and then watch that leader live out an entire time in power, year by year, all the way to a legacy verdict.
There are two labs to start. Build a US President uses nine slots (Oratory, Charisma, Diplomacy, Economy, Military, Legislation, Crisis Management, Integrity and Stamina) and plays out up to two terms. Build a World Leader lets you pick an era and a nation, then reign decade by decade while your share of the world map grows or shrinks.
Every card is a real leader, so every choice is a trade-off: do you spend a legendary card on Oratory, or save it for Crisis Management? Your leader, their name and everything that happens in the simulation are original and fictional.

Is LeaderLab free to play?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no download and no payment.
Do I need an account?
No. You can build, simulate and share as a guest. An optional account will save builds to your Hall of Leaders and keep your daily streak across devices.
Are the ratings real?
The leaders are real; the ratings are not official. They are our own opinions, made for a game, and they aim to be balanced across parties, countries and eras.
Is this affiliated with any government or party?
No. LeaderLab is a fan-made parody game. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government, political party or person. Simulated events are fictional and meant to be funny.
Why no photos of the leaders?
We never use real photos or official portraits. Cards show original illustrations, or silhouettes and initials. Leader portraits are AI-generated illustrations. The star of every build is the leader you create, not the people on the cards.
