Draft: pending legal review
Privacy policy
LeaderLab is a fan-made parody game. We collect as little as we can, and only to run your account and your game history. Here is the plain-language version.
What we collect
You can play without an account. If you do not sign in, we store nothing about you on our servers.
If you create an account, we store:
- Your email address.
- A display name. We take it from your sign-in provider (for example your Google or Discord name) or from the first part of your email address.
- Your sign-in provider's account ID if you sign in with Google, GitHub or Discord, so we can recognise you next time. We do not get your password for those services, and we do not use your profile photo.
- Your game history: the leaders you build, the cards you picked, the results of each simulated career, and when you played.
If you sign in with email and a password, your password is stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider. We never see it.
Why we collect it
- To run your account and keep you signed in.
- To show your game history on every device you use.
- For future leaderboards. If we add them, your display name and scores may be shown publicly. We will update this page before that happens.
- To send account emails you ask for, such as confirmation, sign-in links and password resets. We do not send marketing email.
Where it is stored
Accounts and game history are stored with Supabase, which runs our database and sign-in on our behalf as a data processor. They only process the data to provide that service to us. Access is locked down so each player can read and change only their own data.
Storage in your browser
We use your browser's local storage (not advertising cookies) for:
- Your guest game history, saved on this device until you sign in. When you sign in, those games are copied to your account.
- Your sign-in session, so you stay signed in.
- Small preferences, such as sound on or off.
You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
- We do not use ad tracking or third-party analytics right now. If that changes, we will update this page first.
Age limit
You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you are younger, you can still play as a guest. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time: sign in, open the History page and press Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your profile and all of your saved games. You can also delete single games from the History page.
Guest games live only in your browser. Delete them from the History page, or clear your browser's site data.
Contact
Questions about your data, or a request to see or delete it: [contact email].
